DSG/Manual
« on: 23 May 2010, 13:25 »
Hi guys just about to receive ownership of a Mk5 GTI DSG, But when i was looking for a car i asked a salesman at a VW dealership what ratio of DSG to manuals in the GTI do they sell and he told me about 50-50.Was just wondering how true this was, so was wondering if anyone could do a poll to see what the figures are, i would do it but have no idea how too.
Thanks in Advance

50/50 is a little over ambitious. Look in Autotrader and compare the cars for sale auto/manual and they are usually 8 to 1 in favour of manual, which is a good indicator.

Could also be that us DSG owners don't want to part with our cars unlike our manual brethren...

For what it's worth, I've owned both and deffinatly prefer the DSG. It's much more fun to drive with the paddle shifts. Easyier to drive in traffic and It's quicker to 0-60 too....
