i didnt have to bend mine either
its a splined araangement inside and out and you can do it without bending it. however you can get it flatter if you fit a smaller washer jet or better yet get rid of it!

yeah but they do look more factory with the extra bit of bending/replacement wiper! no big deal though, i used a punto one on mine before i got rid of the lot!
