im sure i saw a shop advert in the golf or pvw that sold recon'd gearboxes with a quaife diff fitted for ?500 that sounds mighty expencive

If you can find that ad let me know mate. The lowest I can find the dif alone is 650. Love to have one.

Bad news on the box Dave. If it makes you feel any better i think my clutch has about had it too. Pedel is about an inch from the top before it engages.

no how u feel mate, i did that in my gti, had 2 drive it home (1 mile max)
n was nearly sick cos off the smell of gearbox oil,
my diff bearings r hummin on driver at mo, got spare gti box in shead theo, so its been fitted next week
