Buying 30ed
« on: 19 May 2010, 16:42 »
Hi, i currently have a Golf mk4 gti

I am going to buy a 30th ed.  There is one a my local VW for 17k  it is black dsg with lots of little extras but it has done 44k.   Is this all OK or you think I should look at a lower mileage

Nowt wrong with 44k.

My GTI is on 49k and runs just fine. For 17k though I would want one with a lot less miles but thats what you get when buying from a deal. It does however sound very expensive, what MY is it?

Put it this way. I bought my 05 GTI (alright it didnt have all that many options on it) 2 years ago with 26k on it for £14,000 from a VW dealer. That was 2 years ago remeber.

I've got a 57 plate manual ed 30 you can have for much less than that and its immaculate and only 20k miles.

The milage would bother me on a 2 year old car!!!!!

But if its been properly looked after it should be ok
