I dont think thats correct. LED's do come as std on the gti... but not the darker ones found on the Golf R

Yeah that is what I said. They don't come as an option as the OP asked but do now come as standard.
I wouldn't imagine it would be the smoked ones as on the Golf R as they would no doubt want to keep some exclusiveness to that model.

Yes the finance offered on the GT compared to the GTI was far too good to knock back at the time.

You will probably get the cherry red LEDs as standard, if you want the smoked R type ones that many of us on this forum have, you will need 10 posts then you can contact SteveP and see if you can be added to his list for the next round. If there is anyone else wanting the R LEDs.

build now confirmed at factory for week 37 

Possible pickup for early Oct...Whoooopppppeeeee!!!!   

It's been a long wait....hopefully no ferry or french port strikes...fingers crossed!!

The mk6 was ment to cut build times from the longer to assemble mk5.....

makes me laugh everytime i hear a mk6 owner having to wait twice as long
