Lead time I would have to say is quite vague really Steve I would expect 4/5 months as that is what it is on a Golf R currently. However if it turned up sooner I am not going to say no you cant have it Mr Customer. This is the latest production news about Golf of desktop.

Because of very high demand and limited production, we are still experiencing extended lead times on all Golf derivatives. The success and high demand of this model throughout Europe will limit our ability to obtain additional production in the short term (but we will continue to request more), so it is very important that you manage your customer’s expectations accordingly.
Golf R and Scirocco R lead times
Due to the limited supply and high demand for both Golf R and Scirocco R products throughout Europe we are starting to experience lead times of up to five months. Although this reflects well on the popularity and success of the model please manage customers' expectations accordingly.
Price I dont need to discount a new car no one else can order and a car that is almost list price 2nd hand also that you can get 7.9% Apr on pcp and 3 year free servicing! Might order myself another one.
