Blocked engine breather could be a possible cause.

As said, blocked breather, or engine just breathing very heavily?

no it's a good thing.......

I'd investigate as above - no breathing properly: bad, clogging your filter with oi: bad, ingesting oil through the throttle body into the head, bores: bad

Alternatively it could have come the other way, past the rings, and back through the inlet.

Over filled it recently or revved the tits off it?
