Thats pretty shocking milage. i only do short start stop journeys (8mile) to work and I still get more than 300miles per tank.

I drive everyday through central London, 8 miles each way all in heavy stop/strat traffic. My average speed is approx 8-9 mph.
The lousy fuel economy is really getting to me now. At least it is better than the Type R I had. Small consolation.
I really should have got a Golf GTD DSG, BMW 3 Series Diesel or Mercedes C Class Diesel.
My ex's C Class 350 CDI Sport gives much, much better economy. I think I will start using it from now onwards. Only 2 problems: it's a bit big for parking at work and I hate the foot operated parking brake on it.
Therefore, I feel a bit stuffed! :rolleyes:
