350 to 370 from the tank, usually.  Have had more and less.  I have a complete record, I'll fish ot out and post it.

I can't believe anyone is getting over 400 miles, unless it's at a steady 50 on the motorway, and what sort of a life is that?

Rolfe.

If I get 290 miles from a tank I will die from shock and I cannot have that happen for the sake of all the people who really love and adore me on this forum!

as per the trip counter which was pressed when i tanked the car, I managed to get 327 miles from full to the first 'bong' - that's driving it on "running-in" style driving, trying to keep the revs down and on mainly town roads with stop/start at traffic lights, junctions and stuff. i think i may have even been driving on basic Asda semi-skimmed
I think after the engine has been run in, it will get a bit more efficient.

I think 400 miles could be quite easy as long as you
- use motorway at constant speed in 6th gear and minimal use of brake
- don't carry fat passengers
- turn off the heater
- watch the tyre pressures

Yes it is pretty boring to drive like that, but with fuel prices sky high and looking like they are on the increase, saving pennies now will all add up. That's the way I see it anyway. I guess if you do want to floor it the odd time that's up to you.

taking is easy revs up to 2.5\3k only - based on a few trips about town, a couple of dual roads \ motorways and cruise set at 65mph I get on average 360 - 370 from a full tank.

Did a couple of long motorway drives with cruise set at 68mph last week and got 380. I was supprised that a few people said 400miles+ for a tank as to me that sounds like motorway constant 55mph, down hill, with a good tail wind to get that. I guess it could be possible but would have to be very very careful.

Are you sure there is no mistake? Is this your average through a full tank?
I am getting 25 mpg on average and I don't drive like a demon.

Not average. Just mpg on a known route. 24 miles, 50mph few stops and no traffic.
Average per tank is 380ish as I like to have a bit of fun now and again.

Lowest mpg was below 20 when I was 'testing' the bluefin.

GolfTi:
When I leave work, my mpg for the first 3 miles on the Euston/Marylebone Road is 11 mpg in stop/start traffic at an average speed of 9 mph! Then I hit the Westway (A40), give it some wellie, do 50+++mph and it rises to 22 mpg.
Eventually, by the time I reach home 8 miles and 35-40 mins later from the start of my miserable journey, I am getting 25 mpg!
But this is way, way better than the vile underground and is worth it IMO.
I just love Wolfgang to bits as he gives me a smile after a very hard days grind!
And that's what life is all about!
