Swirls

in my paint, newish paint, just over a year old but swirls are arriving

anything short of a rotory or pc likely to help?

you could give a finishing polish and then a glaze a go by hand but your technique needs to be good or it will look patchy.

It's really worth investing in a decent DA.

It'll give much better results than you could ever get by hand, not only for correction work, but for applying products as well, meaning less chance of thoughs swirls coming back.

Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

try some Megs Ultimate compound - top stuff - removes light swirls just like it says.  Can be applied by hand and no danger of damaging your paintwork.  I've used it on a TVR and my GTI mirrors recently - and its top stuff.

All good advice above.

If you paint is only a year old, how about masking the swirls rather than correcting? What colour is your car? If it's a dark colour, try some Poorboy's Black Hole, it can work wonders on light swirls.

cheers for the advice folks, i'll try the white diamond...car is light-ish grey? then maybe the meg's compound if that doesnt work

believe it or not this is one situation where I might suggest the use or AG Super Resin Polish... it contains fillers and is suitable for all colours of car

Yep I agree, that or either of the Poorboy's. I love Black Hole on dark colours.
