......It's an attempt to breed a polo with a golf gti.

So it hails from a long line of bachelors!

Polo on mild steroids for me!!
I hate the way car manufacturers now have to have all their stable looking the same give or take size and the odd bit here and there.

The GTD is like a blow up doll. The GTI is like a proper woman. Sure the doll might last longer, and the woman might have higher running costs, but which would you rather have?

Relax. These latest pictures are only the result of a gifted Auto Express photoshop artist with a lively imagination. They are not the real thing. If you want to find out what the Golf VII will genuinely look like, then you have to read the German magazine Auto Motor und Sport. This consistently shows exactly what future models look like.

This particular rendition is far too close to the Polo for comfort and way too square. The new Golf is rumoured NOT to have lost its curves. Unfortunately, VW have put Walter Da Silva, formerly of Audi, in charge of exterior design and, given recent Audi dogs such as the Q7 and cookie-cutter A4, A6 and A8, it is fair to say that he is rapidly becoming VW's own version of Chris Bangle.
Golf R - almost on order - 5-door, DSG, Rising Blue, leather, 19" alloys, RNS510 with Dynaudio, ACC, Sunroof, Parking camera and sensors, luxury pack and cruise control.

I just hope when it comes to the interior of the mk7 (especially the GTI) that they dont cut back on the outstanding quality already of the mk6 GTI. Its a stunning interior.

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

^ Apart from the rattles.
The mk7 pics are probably quite near but as a mk6 owner i don't care i bought the car i like and won't be changing it for the newer one especially after seeing some of the odd things VW class as good engineering design practices on the mk6.
Mk6 GTI  &  Mk1 GTI
