had another downer on the car, the diff started screaming, topped the gear oil up (probably a little late) only for the oil to exit out the other side of the gearbox - there is a hole in the side of the diff casing.

i lost the love for a few days but having a chat with my mate we are going to do an engine conversion and get the body redone.

The plan is a 20 valve turbo engine, tweaked a little particularly in the mapping department. I want the body to be as stock as possible so will probably get the side trims back on and the black vynl on the sills and swage again, suspension will be a t a sensible height. wheels will either be G60 steels or bbs rm's, depending on mood. I am going for a sleeper look

here is it is in its new habitat for the next few months

with the help of my mate kai we had the engine out yesterday.

I say help, he pretty much did it all as i had wheels to polish, tyres to fit and a few jobs on the caddy and mk3 to sort. so thatnks kai, you are a star.

going to give the bay a good clean and probably paint a few areas too.

Collected the engine and bits tonight. Turns out the new mounts are actually for a mk1 so need to buy suitable ones. Been recommended a mix of 16v and g60 ones so will get them ordered.

The wiring loom looks enormous! Rather daunted now
