lies!! I put some on a mk2 gti once, the CB is too small, so I wanged the wheel bolts up as tight as possible to pull the wheel to the hub, the hub just scraped off the excess alloy

That's propper rough dude. To be fair though i think there's only 1mm in it so that's half a mil all round.

These have been machined out by the previous keeper. They are of course only a temporary measure.

I actually think they are a nice looking wheel.

It was a bit rough but they went on easier than I thought. They were only temps though. I reckon them cesaro wheels would suit a mk2 well :)

Where is said scotts place? I'd allow a weekend for the engine swap, just in case something goes to pot, and a Saturday start is a good idea in case anything is needed from motor factors (just from experience, nothing worse than taking a car apart on a sunday to find you need to buy bits to complete the job but nowheres open!)

Well i would only be able to do one of the weekend days as i will most likely be working unless you get a date sorted asap for next month and then i will book it off so will have the whole weekend

Scotts place is in Broughton in between Brigg and Sthingyhorpe. I am sure we will give you the address and postcode when Dave gets a date booked for it.

nah it'll e done in the night. there's a full spare mk2 out there so nothing that's needed is not there and that's from me speaking from experience of me doing a full mk2 build not just an engine swap.

Saturday's are out for me as i'm at work. I could take engine out on friday night and start the install saturday straight after work- should be able to get a flyer then finish on the sunday. Could that be an option?

I had a set of cesaro's on it for an evening but they are worth too much to the nova and corsa boys!
