I think the towers are the same. Are your cables mounted anywhere?

Had a text back from gareth at map-tech, he does immobiliser delete and stage 2 remap for 225 plus return post.

His number is 07837827499 www.map-tech.co.uk

Tell him Dave sent you.

the car has moved units and is at my mate's garage now.

It went there with a few niggles - gear cables needed sorting as missing bracket on box, header tank needed relocating, rad fan needed installing, steering joint was catching downpipe, fly by wire throttle pedal needed installing.

Really happy with the work that went into the rad fan. the original gti cowling has been sectioned to fit the 1.3 rad, then sliced to fit the fan.

downpipe has been cut and shut to clear the steering joint, mount made for the accellerator pedal, header tank bracket welded on the opposite side of the bay.

Sadly i had to sell the BBS RC splits to fund some other project so it is just sat on e46 15's at the minute awaiting something better.

Currently waiting on a few parts to arrive - exhaust gaskets, ibiza cupra master cylinder and the bracket for the gear cables.

Then we have 2 anomolies in the wiring to sort, full spanner check then mot and wheel alignment

rant he car up to temp last night, sounds lovely now the exhaust is sealed but we have an issue. it sits beautifully at idle but floor the throttle and there is a delay before the revs pick up.  I am wondering if it is the fly by wire pedal at fault?

sorted the fault, vac pipe missing off the fuel pressure regulator!

also sorted the ignition switch wiring but most of the rest of the wiring on the car needs attention, so that is being sorted now.

It was driven outside today for a bath

now cracking on with the wiring and refurbishing another set of bbs rc's for it.

Few more tinkering so last night. Did some reading up on speedo cables and ordered a mk2 1.3 cable.

Simply remove the sender from the box, screw in the cable and attach to the clocks. Took it for a spin and it works spot on.

Replaced the maf with a new one and it's running loads better. Attempted to replace the MAP sensor too, only to realise I don't have one installed lol. I guess there lies the boost issues.

I bought the intercooler and pipe work off an converted mk2 that was being broken, he was using aftermarket management so I guess didn't need the map sensor. My mate is off to the scrap yard today to try and get a housing so we can install it. Hopefully that will sort the issue as I am itching to get some miles in.

Hi rick, I have been happy with all their other work (e36 325 and mk4 1.8t ) so hoping for great results on this too.

What are you driving?
