Not low enough mk5
Not on the road enough mk3

I can see that Adidads selling in other parts of Europe, but not here. The seats are not rank and we're not getting anywhere with this discussion lol. ETTO

mk6 above, Half leather idea good. Result=bad.

I do quite like the Pirelli seats though unlike other people.

New Golf GTI Pirelli specification
The Golf GTI Pirelli has the same high specification as the outgoing Edition 30,
including six airbags, 2Zone electronic climate control, darkened rear light clusters
and body-coloured front, rear and side spoilers. The Pirelli also has the following
features which differ to those on the Edition 30:

Exterior
• 18” ‘Pirelli II’ alloy wheels and 225/40 R18 Pirelli tyres.
• Tinted rear windows
• Metallic/pearl effect paint as standard

Interior
• Sports seats – outer sections in ‘Vienna’ leather; centre of seats in Alcantara
with tyre tread pattern
• Yellow stitching on steering wheel, gear knob, handbrake, seats and
headrests
• Pirelli lettering on front head restraints
• Front centre armrest with storage compartment

Colours
The GTI Pirelli will be available in the following colours:
• Reflex Silver metallic
• Diamond Black pearl
• Blue Graphite pearl
(Metallic/pearl effect is free of charge)

Options
Options for the GTI Pirelli will be the same as for the Edition 30, except for tinted glass
and front centre armrest (which are now standard) and colours (details above).

Pricing
Prices for the Golf GTI Pirelli will be the same as those for the Edition 30:

Excellent information, do you know how many werw brought to the UK? Last figure I head was 2-300.

I use to know and have it wrote down somewere it was something like 246 but don't quote me on that as thats a number just floating in the back of my mind  :grin:
iirc production stopped on the 14th August.

The seats look much better in real life than any photos.
I wasn't sure about it at all in pictures but the car looks great - again the wheels look better in sunlight and three dimensions.
I've been a target for 'halfords spec' saxos for almost three years now!

The seats definitley look better in the flesh.

In fact, despite the unusual pattern, no one that I have given a lift too has actually noticed them.

I also believe about 240 were brought into the UK. I am yet to see another one.

To be fair though, most of the late black Mk5 golfs with tinted rear windows pass off as GTi's from all but the forward view.

220 was the official number sold.

and the Pirelli is a marmite car, you will either love the trim and alloys or hate it.
