No, I can assure you they do.  I've personally seen to it that a pair of Golf3s died only last Saturday.

And it all started in a shed with an old beetle, a milk float, an angle grinder and in all probability a few crates of beer. Then it metamorphasised into this monster drag beetle, quality :cool:
