should not rub, had mine way lower than that with my 8j wide rims same rubber too but iv also got 30mm adapters. i had to have my arches rolled and pulled to get it down as much as it is now, is it just the plastic GTI trim it catches, ? if so file it down matey

Yeah, I think it is the trim, but I'm quite happy with the drop to be honest and it looks good too.
