Hi I'm Ryan, I've been looking about for a Golf CL 1.4 and wondered if anyone would be able to point me in the right direction for a buying guide. Also if you would be able to tell me how much I would pay roughly for insurance and who to go with as this would be a very suitable first car.

As for insurance, go and get quotes from places such as Admiral/Bell/Elephant, Adrian Flux, and others, shop around as it'll pay off, once you've got some quotes come and post in the insurance section of the forum with your findings and people will give their opinion on the quotes you've got, problem with insurance is it will vary dramatically dependant on area you live, your age, your experience and much much more, so get those quotes:
