Looking for an intake with TUV certificate
« on: 09 May 2010, 02:00 »
Hi there,

I'm new to the tuning scene and I wanted to start with an intake. The problem is that I need an intake that comes with a TUV certificate as I need to register my car in Luxembourg.
I'm looking to buy the ITG induction kit from Awesome  http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.php?xProd=14101&xSec=151 but i dont know if they provide the TUV cert. I also googled for ITG and couldnt find where to download the cert.

So actually any proposition of an intake that comes with a TUV is welcome. Though i prefer the ITG as it has a 'good' sound !.

Hmm, not sure if the ITG will have or ever come with a TUV certificate but maybe the Dblias might...

email the respective companies and post up their replies here. Might be helpful to others.

cheers mate. I did email those companies asking them if they do provide TUV cert. or not. It's really a pain in the a$$. I don't want to uninstall everything and going to the MOT.
I might aswell leave it as stock. Though I'm not sure if I did the MOT here in UK, that they would accept it over there. I might aswell ask them and drive it illegally in my country lol

Try an upgrade panel filter by ITG or Pipercross. They will give you a fair few bhp and wouldn't come under modifications as they are consumables.
