Good point.  Pheasant was my best guess as to the species of the casualty until I saw the actual mallard.  The roads round here are positively infested with the damn things.  They breed them to shoot, and only hit about 80%, leaving the others flapping around in everybody's hair.

I think you should take up shooting and not use your beautiful blue car as a shotgun replacement. It's a rather uneconomical way of controlling wildlife.
