You will just have to start praying that VWs new performance R devision does what BMWs and FIAT/Alfas does and starts offer rechips for its cars.

Severe stress on the neck muscles and your eyeballs get pushed back a bit.
It really does have to be experienced to be believed. +45bhp (20% ish) on paper. Feels way more.
(Bluefin but similar results).

Got the insurance quotes now.
Now have to strengthen the Schuey muscles before I go for it.
It'll be Bluefin. Brilliant value for money.

Yes Snoops, it is what I want too quite badly as I want more mid-range acceleration.
However, having spoken to my very nice and beautiful Warranty Manager lady, it seems that if VW have any inkling of a re-map then they would not touch the car if something went wrong. Also, any VW ECU updates would not be installed.
Do you not think this is a bit of a problem and a risk?
Yes its why i may try and wait for a few years or talk myself out of it from an engineers point of view by looking at it at different levels. but i I have a problem in that my local VW dealer is also a VWR dealer and keeps asking if i want to try their demo car
VWR use Superchips  = Bluefin.
Reset to the normal map for garage visits. Why would you want VW ECU updates?
Risk?  Slight and it's up to you.

I do hope so.
Its a way of manufacturers to reduce CO2 average of there cars by offering off the shelf higher power versions as an accessory at there dealers rather than straight from the factory.
Its why BMW, FIAT, Alfa, Vauxhall(well it was actually the fiat TDI kit), MINI all do it.
It makes clever buisness sence.
So come on VW  get with the times. Its not like this is the first time you would have done it  (They did it in the 80s with the mk1 16V)
