No it is not a joke thread. This is my car...
I thought about getting a real one but it's too expensive. Might do it in the future though. Thought about the roof too. It's still on my mind.

This won't be to everyone's taste but I can understand why you want to personalise.
Like the views on the remap, more of us seem to be doing this now.
I think you are are on a slippery slope though.

Mk6 GTi - returned to leasing company after 3 great years and replaced with :
Mk5 GTi - Edition 30 - Revo 1 and some tweaks - 310 bhp. Its a better car than the Mk6 - Now sold and replaced with :
Mk6 R - Rising Blue 5 Door. Won't be standard 270bhp for long
Family Car : Mercedes ML420 with 360 bhp
Looking at Porsche Macan as replacement

its good to see something different penguin
i had a mini cooper before i got my ed30 and have to say I felt the same, the extra power in the golf is great but it doesn't handle anything like what the mini did, hence the lack of excitement and envolvement.. had to spend quite a bit of cash on decent coilovers & anti-roll bars to make my golf perform similarly
in regards to that intake you have - it looks like its the mk5 version you bought.. this is the mk6 version :

the stage 2 kit looks very interesting
happy modding

Hi James, thanks for the positive vibes and the links. I looked at that site in particular before getting mine but I picked the mk5 one because I prefer the shape. I didn't really do the intake for performance. I just thought it looked a bit sexier than the OEM stuff.
What was your Mini like?
