^^^  The way I look at it Kev is, if someone offered it to me for £20 then it would be saving me £230 as I had said to myself I would have to buy it tomorrow!!

I'm very much a tinkering type of person and even if I get a loan of someone's cable, I may well buy it myself even although none of my mates have a VW and it will just sit in my drawer for a few years.
