Not getting my copy for awhile
Paid ages ago for a preorder from a powerseller on ebay and then got this email at the week end, cant afford to get one from the shop at the mo either

Hi everyone, I am very sorry to announce that owing to Paypal and Ebay limiting my account access on Weds (3rd November) last week I am not going to be able to fulfil any of the 1521 orders I have taken since I started the Black Ops listings. I am selling a Gran Turismo pre-order and because the release date changed from 5th November to 10th December I had several claims made against my Paypal account, which threw my Paypal and Ebay accounts into review with limited access, which basically means I could not move any funds around. On Thursday I needed to send my Paypal funds to my business account to fund the purchase of Black Ops from my supplier, who do not accept Paypal. For the purposes of the review Paypal selected 8 transactions at random, all Black Ops, and I had to prove to Paypal first of all that I owned the game, and secondly that I had posted the game. As I needed the paypal funds to own the game and until I owned the game I could not post it I was in an impossible situation and was unable to complete the review to Paypals satisfaction, and so could not send the funds to my Business Account, which meant I could not pay my supplier, which meant I have no games to supply and I am now faced with refunding everyone. I will start to process refunds today and work through them as quickly as possible, unfortunately I had before the 3rd sent some of the funds to my business account and I will need to get this back before I can complete all of the refunds. I have had to cut myself off from communication since Weds, mainly because I was getting hundreds of requests a day to supply the game early. My contact details are my home address and telephone number, which I would hope will reassure anyone who thinks this is some giant scam. I have been an Ebay seller of note for some years as anyone can see from looking at my feedback, and obviously this outcome is a huge disappointment to me. I am letting you know now so you can make alternative arrangements to get the game, I would recommend Play.com who are doing it for £42.69 with free delivery. I would be grateful if you would give me the opportunity to refund rather than put claims in via Paypal at this stage as a large number of claims may further complicate my Paypal relationship.

I had a similar issue - chap on one of the Golf forums promised the same and had his accout held by paypal. He still promises delivery though it may be a day late. A real annoyance since last year he managed to get MW2 out a day early.

Even now, online, friends are playing Black Ops

I had a bit of a result.  Forgot all about it, and at about ten past midnight turned my xbox on to see my friends playing it.  I rush out, jump in the car and head out, ringing places on the way.  Because I'm that much of a loser.

I ring Tesco in Chelmsford - massive queues, can't hold copies, I won't get a copy.
I ring the second Tesco in Chelmsford - same story.
I ring the local Asda - Same story.
I ring Game - same story.

I then have a brain wave, try the smaller Tesco's in Maldon.  I ring them, no queue at all and they hold me a copy.  I walk in and out in less than 5 minutes with game in hand.  Good times.
