damaged front jack point
« on: 02 December 2004, 21:27 »
recently fitted koni t/a and eibach springs? tried to use standard jack other day? to do a job & it just slid away. A closer look shows that at the jacking point front ,the seams have been deformed so that the clawed foot on the jack doesnt fit on the seams that come together .
When the springs and shocks were fitted? i used a trolley jack with a protecter then axle stands further under car, since being fitted had service at specialist and had camber tracking & new tryes a/r its not worth trying to see if they`d except liability, they`ll only deny they did it .
Has? any one had a similar problem and had it fixed how much ? Ive tried to? look at doing it but now the car is lower theres no room unless you got a pit.
Mk3 16V Eibach pro kit springs with lowering caps so its only dropped 40mm.before a trip to body shop any ideas, before a puncture?
