OK for those thinking about it but worried about insurance...

Try comparethemarket.com (others are available) and when filling in your quote information there is an option uder modifications for ECU remap. You'll soon find out who will and won't insure you. As I said earlier my quote worked out cheaper.  :grin:

Thanks to you I did, and as you know Admiral and Elephant came out tops. The re-map mod only cost £23 a year more!

Due to the way bluefin works i would be interested in seeing a rolling road session of a GTI.
That does a few runs with the standard VW map
Then a few runs with the superchips one since its a 20min or so job to re-program.

I am with Elephant and called them the other day to change my reg to my personal one...
They charged me a £17.50 admin fee!!
Maybe a remap will only cost £23 extra, but no doubt they will another £17.50 ontop of that!
