It is near impossible (and not wise) to get the GTI up to more than 260 BHP on the basis of Diagnose On Board alone... :wink:

A pro tuner JD Engineering is able to get it above 260 BHP but doing so in a sensible way implies a lot more then changing parameters.... :wink:

Depends on a few things like what output your car was at stock level, which fuel did you use then and which do you use now.
I think  +45bhp is quite typical for most remaps. That's a good 20%.
Mk7 GTI. DBP, DCC, Winter pack. Mine since new, July 2013.
GTI no. 4. Golf no. 5.  VW no. 7.

exactly look at the gains the companys are quoting not the bragging BHP numbers. Search out the graphs and data of the car they did the initial design on and see what they recordered it as stock and then after the remap.
Mk6 GTI  &  Mk1 GTI

If I was going to do anything of this nature, I think I would most probably opt for;

VWR panel airfilter,
Stage one VWR re-map, (claimed 260bhp & torque optimised),
VWR exhaust rear section,
VWR limited slip differential - fast road,
Uprated brake pads, again from VWR.

 :shocked:

I’ve never played with any of my previous cars and haven’t swapped anything on this one, yet.....
Gti mark 6, Candy white, 18" monza shadows, ACC, cruise control.
