Fuel and Oil for the GTi
« on: 01 May 2010, 20:46 »
Interesting site:
http://www.fueltechexperts.com/
Have used BG44K on my car.

Am going to order some NF octane booster from here:
http://www.powerenhancer.co.uk/section.php/34/1/petrol-octane-boosters

No harm done!

PS: Hope Rhyso won't lock and move this one!

Read through the links, what do you think of it yourself ? made a difference that you can tell/returned to how the car first felt..

Interesting site don't you think?

The one thing I noticed is that my fuel consumption improved by approximately 4 mpg within 2 days of use, even though I used the car in 6-7 miles of stop start-traffic! This made me happy. Did the engine seem quieter? Maybe.

I am going to next try the octane booster and see how that affects the car's performance. As I  have access to only Total and BP garages with 97 RON fuels, this might prove helpful. Will keep you posted.

Just a bump up the table for you really but also a fuel related question.

When you remove the fuel filler cap is there not suppose to be a small metal flap there? Mines just a black plastic pipe with a hole going to im guessing the tank and what i guess is a small hole at the top thats the breather.
