Ed30 (and presumably Pirelli) spark plugs - delay!

Hi All

Took my Ed30 in for main stealer 40k service yesterday, couple of hours later a slightly abashed service manager came on the phone to advise there's a backlog of spark plugs for the 230PS engine (apparently different plugs to the 200PS) - they won't be getting any in till ... wait for it ... 10 May!

Bit surprised by this, especially as the stealer knew the mileage of my car and I booked it about 10 days ahead.

Wondering if the ash cloud has delayed parts being flown in from Deutschland? Any other parts being affected in a similar way?

Anyhows, thought I would pass it on as a warning.

There are other spark plugs you could try, particularly if your car is mapped.
Denso plugs IK22 and IK24 (IK24 being 2 grades cooler than standard) are readily available from GSF.
