Just a quick question, are these lights suitable for standard 2009 build MK6 Golfs? (Non GTI) I heard that the light control unit may not be suitable even after Vagcom coding. Anyone shed some light on the issue before I part with the hard earned? Thanks.

He has fitted them to my bog standard non GTI mk6, they work like a charm!

Due to the size of the lights when packaged up the shipping is around £62 plus insurance at about £5

I would say keep the lights for when you sell the car in the future and then you will be able to get some money back on the Golf R LED's

Hi,

First post here and just picked up a Gti for my wife. It's an MY10 build (Feb) and I saw somewhere on here a "how to" to install led's from the "R" showing wiring? can someone please direct me to that thread as I'm looking at ditching the povo pack lights the Aussie spec cars come with and getting the led's. I've checked the car and the fog is on the drivers side (RHD - same as UK) is this the case with the UK spec cars?
