Tyre preferences
« on: 28 April 2010, 17:36 »
I've just had my BBS RAs cleaned and polished and will be sealing them soon. I have new BBS centres for them too.
Which tyres do people prefer?
I'm not talking about track days, as I would get something specific for that task.
I mainly drive in London. Although trips to dub meets, Cornwall, Wales and Yorkshire do happen. So fun on the B roads, city driving a mixture.

The wheels are 14" so I would be looking at 185/60 R14s. Recommendations?

I run Kumho... on my 15 RA's...

Also on my Audi S2 Coupe...

I have to say that Very happy with them....

They were recommended to me by my local tyre fitters who do all our company cars..

Good quality and not expensive either 2 x 15" 195 50's were £90.00 fitted and balanced..

ECSTA SPT is what it says...

As for price looks good... but my fitters are 50 yards away drop the car off and they bring it back when done...

With Petrol @ £5.00 a gallon...

I've got pirelli p6000 on the front and find them really grippy in the wet and dry, went for toyo proxes t1r at the back but only had them on for a few hundred miles and my view is on fwd cars the rear wheels are only there for the ride anyway, these are on 15s mind.

Toyo T1r's. Excellent dry grip with good wear and well composed and predictable in the wet.
