Mk1 on Bike Carbs
« on: 27 April 2010, 21:25 »
Just seen this little bad boy =
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mk1-golf-gti-1-8-16v-conversion-yamaha-fzr-1000-carb-/160428251364?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item255a44d8e4

Just wondering what you all thought?
Would be a tidy little project to tune up and fix all its little niggly problems! and change the wheels!
And at the end of it i even get a Mk1 :D
 MK2 VR y0!

It dont look like a rot box and after some of chatting on here about the prices these days that seems cheap... i'd go and view to make sure its not fooked but if its not... bargain!... if you buy it, first dibs on your wheels!!!

No worries man... its nice to see something happen in here! i'm slightly jelous if you got the cash to buy, it really does look like a steal! the issues it has are nothing drastic... still would look first though, you never know with some people.  at least he provided sill shots and looks pretty solid... just spotted its based in the Isle of Wight!

Thats what i thought, Only little niggly bits are wrong with it! And i would enjoy fixing it!
And it has NO rust! Which amazes me, since my mk3 already has some :D

Might Ask the guy if i can mission it down on sunday to have a butchers!
If i can sort insurance to get it back to the mainland
