Hi All,

The downpipe on my golf is blowing at the moment, and as hopefully in a couple of weeks i will doing a 9a conversion I was thinking about fitting a 4-1 manifold at the same time. It seems from the bit of research I have done there are 3 available, but the question is which one do people think is the best option all things considered?

I have come across:

Ashley Mild Steel 4-1 Manifold - approx £220
Milltek Stainless 4-1 Manifold - approx £240
Ebay Special stanless manifold - approx £180 ( http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-GOLF-MK2-16v-GTI-STAINLESS-STEEL-EXHAUST-MANIFOLD-/170357812350?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27aa1dec7e )

Do people think that it is worthwhile spending the extra money on a branded manifold? Also I have read in previous posts that the milltek manifold doesn't always pair up to a non milltek exhaust system. Anyone running one of these manifolds on a mix n match/standard exhaust system that can confirm?

Thanks
Jon

Get the Ebay special. I have the same one, been on for 3 years and no problems. A bit noisy when cold but otherwise no probs.

And i agree, Milltek is a pain to match up. I have a Milltek system and its a ball ache to match with said manifold.
