R-Tech -  I've got a mate with a standard 2001 225bhp TT, looking for a remp. He want's to go with Revo but I've heard mixed reviews. What gains could you get and for what price?

This would be interesting to know as my friend recently purchased a TT, same engine etc and would like to know what the gains are.

you''re looking at approx 260bhp

If you have appropriate mods like a sports CAT etc then you can extract a little more

No need to get angry Alan.

260/270 sounds like a decent amount. I'll let him know. Thanks Rhyso. (and Alan. )

Realistic max power from a GOOD spec1 remap on the S3/TT is 245/260lbft and thats running a hot turbo even at that, get get a bigger downpipe fitted and de/sports cats with a full performance exhaust system then maybe you will see a safe 270bhp.

They just dont make massive peak power gains, shed loads of mid range at some points another 60bhp.   Just try and find a Cupra r S3/TT running quoted remap power of 270bhp,  load of graphs on google with mapped k04's not even hitting 250bhp..

Our spec1 remap is good for and safe for 245-250bhp - 260/265lbft dont get caught up in the sales bull crap with 270bhp claims.

Now find one making 260bhp+   >>>>> http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/page.php?xPage=rr_ttf_130609.html

Then try and find a stage 2 Cupra-r, TT or S3 making over 260bhp  http://www.jkm.org.uk/performance/GallerySCN280309.htm

Its all about the midrange with the ko4 turbos, forget the peak bhp output.

I just got 303lbft from an AGU running a TT k04..lol :smug:  and it flipping mad

Here is a good running S3 with an r-tech spec1 remap with slight tweaks. (forge 007p, and filter)

i went out in a jazz blue agu with a ko4 yesterday and today that has been mapped by r-tech (thanks nick) and i was blown away by the performance of the car, the remap is brilliant my next move is definitely to get a k04 and fmic and then back to nick for another remap, i cant speak highly enough of r-tech they are amazing
