Not at all! It is the best word to describe the action of the door mirrors and flaps to describe those mud preventing jobs!

p3eps, don't know if this link is any use to you? Its how to install MK5 folding mirrors but has a wiring diagram of sorts.

Thanks for that.  I'm waiting until I go to the dealer to get my niggles fixed - and when they take the door apart to fix the creaking, I'll ask if they can remove the mirror switch for me.  I'm hoping a simple circuit will do it... but if it is simple, then how come I can't find a single person whose done it already  :undecided:
