.............. Nah I can understand what you mean but tbh I think a bit of banter on the forum's is great fun.

Banter is absolutely fine but every single thread is being hijacked. Folk will just drift off elsewhere which is a shame as it is a mine field of information here.

+1 some people just post continuous rubbish on here. I spot an unread thread thinking it may have some useful information I may have missed. Instead it it some posting to let the whole world they found something funny  :undecided:

This forum is getting really boring (again)... :embarassed:

+1.   It's more like facebook!! Isn't it supposed to be a forum for disscusion about your mk6 gti's . It's turning into that camp bloke louis spence's happy hour.

Fook it! i think I'll go and buy a mk5 and talk some sense on the mk5 forum!!!

I start reading a new thread and as soon i get to the crap that is getting posted ill just switch off and wander to the MK4/5, detailing section etc. I DONT WANT TO KNOW about someone's sexual preferences etc. Im just interested in VW's, that's what im here for!

I will make up for this excessive upset with photographs of footrests, seat adjuster inlays, rear LEDs etc!

++1 - I don't mind a bit of banter, but it's getting out of hand. Seriously thought about finding another forum the other night, which is a shame as there is potential for great info here

In defence of the banter however... we are expecting a gti forum of gti enthusiasts to discuss the ownership of their gti's... only problem is half the folk on here don't actually have their gti's yet  :nerd:

But ok, perhaps there is a bit too much banter

Hear what your saying, but the reason I'm here is to learn about the car I'm going to get - it's part of the excitement in my opinion!

I presume it's like learning how to read when you've never picked up a book.
