r line insert

anyone know where I can get a aftermarket r line rear bumper insert? Or something that looks like it with the grooves?

If you find out please let me know mate as im wanting one also.
From VW them selfs its £50 i think. Not shore it that the same price for the flushed one or one with the cut out in it already.

ok will let u know. I know mine is an aftermarket and the insert isnt smoothed at the corners...pics of mine are in http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=152516.10

Aarrrrrrrhhhhaaaaaaaa. I see. Thats quite a lot diffarnt to my one mate. I think you might have to get a bit handy and make one.

Sorry to ruin this for everyone but you cannot buy the r-line inserts seperately!

If you want one you will have to pay the full price of the bumper, which at the moment is around 527 plus vat.

I have the bumper, and i made a boo boo with mine with the exhaust being near it, luckily it was fixable! But when i rang VW and asked for a new black insert? They said no!

So be careful!

I do have a spare insert though! As i said, i sorted mine luckily! By looking at your photos that is nothing like the r-line shape? You would seriously struggle to make the genuine r-line insert fit into there? Its a completely different shape

i agree with Jake, thats not a R-Line bumper. The edges are more rounded on the R-Line bumper

Apparently SWG motorsport sell them and YOU CAN buy them seperately.

think mine is just a plastic order from some company and cut down to size
