After inspecting the red turbo pipe again there is more build up of liquid and looks the same as the pic in my first post :(

Also realised that the wheel arch liner which sits behind the pipe is also all oily and there is a patch that is heavily oiled about the size of 2 hands (sorry best way I could explain the size  )

You reckon the pipe is fooked? I suppose I won;t know until I get the car serviced and checked up. Only problem is that I go holiday in 1 1/2 weeks and funds aint allowing me to fork out just yet so will get service and inspection done when i'm back, but in the mean time i'm worried that it might have a knock on effect on something else and I might make something else fook up, so help and advice as normal is much appreciated.

Cheers
Asif

If there's oil around that area that is almost certainly a sign of a boost leak and will result in your poor mpg

I know this sounds crazy but that is a fooking result as atleast it help me to resolve the problem now.
Hope it's just the cheaper fix and not the actual red pipe which as you've adviced in other thread cost about £100 right.

Either way i'll be a happy bunny once my MPG increases to what it should be, once i'm back from holiday i'll get it lookedinto and sorted.

Any precautions for 1 1/2 weeks of driving until I get it sorted?

Also the oil, where the hell is that coming from? or is that the oily build up that generally cloggs the egr?
Will I need to keep an eye on the oil levels?

TDI's 'breathe' heavily so its natural to find that within the boot pipes but yes its the same stuff that clogs up the EGR (to my knowledge anyway).  You should be checking your oil levels weekly anyway

In an ideal world I'd replace all the clips and o-rings on all your pipework and flush out your intercooler

You'll be amazed at the performance difference by doing just these simple things

Add to the list of things to do to my TDi :)

There's so much i want to sort out but my hands are tied due to my big holiday in Malaysia, seems like all my money is tied up and being saved at the minute.
