I hear the gti mats are available as a optional extra priced at only £70

Simon: You have a mat fetish. Now where did I see that magic carpet for sale? Ah, in Bagdad.
I will even buy you the ticket to get there! Return, ofcourse!

If your going to try and be clever you could at least spell Baghdad correctly

I just watched the re-run of the Top Gear special with them all out in america and they visited a placed called Bagdad

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

Is there anyway we can make this thread private ? The rest of the forum will have a heart attack with us spending money on this sort of thing.

That cheap ?  I might buy 2 sets. Use one set then throw the other set away because I can.

Don't throw the second set away... keep in them in your boot for snowy days.  When you get stuck, you can stick them under your wheels for traction
Golf R... 3 door, DSG, Leather, Reflex Silver, Black 19" Talladega Wheels, ACC, Parking Sensors, RNS510 with Dynaudio, Reverse Camera, Luxury Pack, Cruise Control & Fiscon Bluetooth.

I'm keeping my 2nd set to wipe my feet as I'm standing out the back door. Cheap at £70 for that purpose.

Hi am1w speaking of a "light feast"...

I read somewhere you had a xenon retrofit....can you explain that to me.
I mean do you have the bulbs and fitting and trafo installed afterwards.

I am in doubt since if I do it afterwards I do not have the specific encasing lens and the heat of the xenon will burn the halogene casing and more nay-saying stuff from my stealer like no swiveling...no automatic high-low adjustments........

How is your experience...

BTW I love the model....the price is relative..there are models costing thousands of pounds..

Only fogs and main beam in Xenons but not DRLs, so the whole thing looks stupid. No heat problems, no auto height adjustment, but you can use the manual facility. Same as if you had the ordinary lights.
However, you can buy the whole Mk6 Xenon housing etc from German Ebay and the auto levellers from KUFATEC. I've told the guy if I don't get the DRLs soon in Xenons to forget it.
It is a half-way house and not as sexy as the originals, but then it costs a quarter the amount.
Wish I had ordered the factory Xenons.
