I think most have got broken over time and people have thrown them away when they stopped using cassettes.

Now many people are returning their cars back to original spec, and items like this are an important element of the whole 80's theme.

I've even dug out my old cassettes so that I can listen to 80's music how it should be in an 80's car.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

The above statement makes you sooooo uncool... unless you mean top gun soundtrack, that would make you cool! haha

I just wish it was still 1988.

The Cbox was a dealer option, for those lucky enough to still have the OE radio cassette, then this can finish off the interior nicely, but absolutely no point having one, unless you have the radio cassette, so very limited market, when everyone wants one all at the same time, they have been known to go for over a hundred quid...

A cassette box just went on e-bay for 99p - postage was more than bid. Supposed to be full working order. That's e-bay for you. Personally after the CD box but not at silly money (from Yorkshire!).

Yeah CD fischer unit is much more useful.

Remeber I was looking for one and found these, considerably cheaper than paying 100.00+ on ebay.

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.

I don't get it either... I wouldn't fit one if I was given one free...

Cassette's (& Radio 1 only on Medium Wave 1053 & 1089) were out dated back in 88... I couldn't wait to get a CD player...

Mind you I had to save some serious money back then... 1st CD I bought in 1985 (ish) was £229.99 and had a remote control... and pumped out 4 x 25 watt which was mega then..  How

Scored good point with the birds back then...

I have a vortex unit so can't fit one even if someone gave me one.....
