Am I anal then?

I had a belt on mine for about 5 mins running time and an exhaust manifold stud went, took the head back off and stuck a new belt on it, same tensioner though...  :undecided:

Got it all back alright mate, just got back from dropping it off to my mechanic, big thanks for the help getting it in the car mate :afro:

Yup hopefully be up and running by the end of the week, bought a new cambelt kit just to be on the safe side but going to use the tensioners from my engine as they were new 3 weeks ago!

list of things I have got to pick up tomorrow after work:

Cam belt kit
Injector seals
Oil filter and 10-40 oil
O2a Flywheel and VR6 Clutch (going to ditch the DMF)
Water pump

and probably a few other bits I cant remember atm
