Got a small soft spot for Bora's, my brother has a 2.3 V5 and he loves it even though it's a bit thirsty. He's had a MK4 GTi and he said it handles loads better because it seems so much more balanced but that's his opinion not mine, not driven either!

Yours is spot on though mate, colour, wheels, exhaust, all looks spot on. Quite subtle but looks lovely! And definitely a fan of those lights!

Do they do that grill with a badge? That would be immense. Love your Bora Rich. :afro:

Cheers dude, I love the grille ... but have recently been thinking of swapping it for a de-badge grille (have a brand new mk4 GTI grille badge kicking about that I bought for my mk3 and never fitted)  :undecided: Im really happy I went for the Bora instead of the Golf .. would make a good project

looks shiiiiiiiiiiiiiineeeeeyy! very tidy mate, like it.

thanks

you sir are a gentleman haha thanks  and yep they certainly do bud!

Was meant to have a better update today but my rocker cover still isnt back from being powder coated metalic black, my gold bolts to hold down the Audi S3 coil packs were dispatched today, im still waiting for my GLI lights from the US and I havent even attempted to fit my leather arm rest yet  BUT i will put some pics up of whats been happening to the old girl this week. On monday I recieved my genuine sunglasses holder from AwesomeGTI  :smug: it such a good idea, in person it blends in well to the headligning but in the pic it doesnt

Then yesterday my mate Adam came over to help my fit my polished manifold we (I say we ... mainly Adam lol) aslo changed the manifold gasket and throttle body gasket and cleaned the injectors, also bought some new injector seats but didnt have the right tool to get the old ones out so will have to fit them another time! Couldnt believe the amount of crap sitting on top of the valves, any way cracked the trusty vacum cleaner out and voila like new

Like I said earlier was hoping to have pics with the new manifold on but will post this one of how the engine is atm, we also hid the wires near the injection rail.... think it looks loads better

Also a massive thankyou to my ''Special genuine Bora tools''.... literally anything we couldnt get off, get to, undo etc these did the job!!! couldnt have done it without them, also they pere pretty good at making adam bleed

With Adams help fitted the wind deflectors, I know these are a bit of a marmite mod like bonnet bras but I think they look foookin sweet on the Bora, I couldnt be trusted to fit them as I snapped the set I tried to fit to the 156

Got a 7 piece silicone pipe set for the coolnt system from THS to fit when i can be bothered too lol

Thanks mate!! :afro:

I had a go at fitting the 7 black silicone hoses for the coolant system yesterday, managed to fit 5 of them ... then ran out of day light lol. I have also just ordered two more silicone hoses in blue, the turbo inlet pipe and the upper breather hose. My gold anodised bolts turned up for the S3 bolt down coil packs today as well and I should hopefully be getting my rocker cover back this week (being powder coated metallic black) so the engine bay should be looking pretty  beginning of next week!!!
