Good to hear...

This feature is only mentioned briefly in the RNS manual near the end...so briefly.... that you get tempted to skip it because the fun-factor doesn't sink in...

I wonder how many of us are using the RNS to its full ....I even do not dare to ask if somebody was succesfull putting in say all the 98 Ron gas stations with pump pictograms on the map.... :lipsrsealed:

Anyone know what happened to this concept?
I tried it out in the past and was quite impressed with what it could do but it doesn't seem to be available any more!!

Haven't you heard Erik, that Mark Rutte is outlawing all media cards as they can be used to carry piracy?! Keep up man

The site now links to http://vwerl.com/ with no note of the Nav companion!!

I am afraid he will do a lot more.... :embarrassed:

Anyway I filled up my SD card with 30 or so adresses and I will update them next week when I hopefully will collect my new 2012 mode MKVI

I'm trying to get this to work as it sounds a great feature, more from being able to put addresses on the SD card from the VW Nav companion address page. Can you confirm from that if I place a *.vcf which I've cut and pasted the address into from the Nav Companion web page, the unit can pick this up and plan a route to it?

Sorry for the stupid question, but it seems good if it will do this. Trying to input the address on the RNS is not always a great experience and this could improve things greatly for me.

EDIT - sorted - the Nav Companion web page saves it as a *.vcf for use

No such thing as a stupid question....

I cannot confirm this...since I work strictly with the site only...
So I enter an adress or postal code...It searches and finds it .....or something close to it....I check if it supplies enough info in order to arrive where I want to arrive ...if not ...I do it again this time I enter everything manually....and finally I pick a nice picture from google images......and upload it.
I never touch the stuff again once succesfully uploaded.

I keep it as simple as possible because I am no wizzard with this stuff

BTW.  SELFDESIGNED-BOOTLOGO-CHANGE-RNS510
my James Bond logo looks incredibly bad-ass and the quality surprises me truly. ...WONDERFUL
