Come on now, I drove for a whole day to get it!... I'd never be able to replace it unless I spent a fortune to get one made, even OEM style ones cost quite a bit.  It had mixed views when I tried it on but this picture reminds that it's worth the work to get it to match the car and give it a chance

If Mad Max had a golf as an intercepter in 1979??

I've PM'd back saying pretty much the same until I've tried it out for a while.

I may try and speed things up with this and make it fit using bonnet pins........

As far as painting the car gloss... one day maybe, I really quite like how what I've painted so far has turned out.  I need to fininsh the rest and see how long I like it then... my friends say I should keep it this way full stop but when i've got nothing better to spend my money on and the car needs nothing else, then yes, I may just go back to gloss.

That's pretty much the plan but the bonnet needs some work too, damage in places, paint on it is fooked so will need some TLC.  even after that the bonnet catch and hinge points have been ripped out at some point so they need addressing too.  for now I may cheat and have it fastened down with bonnet pins in each corner and worry about the rest later.

When I originally posted the picture above it only looked like the car pulls it off because of the angle of the photo, i do feel that other areas will need something to help blend it in....  :undecided:

No idea but that bonnet does make the front look very busy compared to the rest of the car at most other angles.

Get it back to as close to it's former glory as I can.  Was rocking between 135 and 140 horses once, I would be more than happy if I could claw most of them back.. She doesn't need any more than that............. for now.
