fitting r32 bumper grilles

i have genuine bumper grilles and im going to fit them to a abs copy r32 bumper how did you all hold your grilles in is it just a case of no more nails from the back or is there a better way

i did consider tiger seal as its bklack and my car is black is this the best stuff

Yeah tiger seal is the strongest stuff. Or you can use black silicone. Only way you'll remove them with tiger seal is attempted cutting them but realistically they'll have to be snapped off.

Sorry to post in such an old topic guys but Im going to be in this prediment soon and I am wondering if i silicone the grilles in place how am I ment to do up the bottom bolts?  :huh:

No bottom bolts on the reps ;)

Once fitted put it on a ramp and do it from underneath/behind


2000 GTI 1.8t ARZ, S2000 filter, DSG intake, Forge 007 dv, Catch can, R-tech custom remap, 3" Supersize Silicone TIP, Powerflex dog bone, 'The Beast' FMIC, Ultimate delete, LCR fuel pump, 3" Turbo back, K03 hybrid, Ported Manifold, S3 injectors, 80mm maf = 280bhp 270lbft :evil:

as rio said there are no bottom bolts just ones in arches and along the top,i used a few wee cheeky self tappers to hold grills nicely in place as well as tiger seal,and you will have to push grill out if you ever need to tow car

unless you got a monster intercooler then youll have to pull the pipes off too!!!
