claying
« on: 22 April 2010, 11:31 »
just used clay for the first time wow, thought it shone before wrong, now it really shines, waiting for autoglym extra gloss to dry before finising. surprising what that little blob of clay picks up.

I never really noticed effects like that but it does leave a fab finish for the polish to go onto.

Kev.. Unless you have used it on an older car you wouldn't know what a remarkable difference it makes!

with the car being silver the depth of shine isnt as great as a solid dark colour but the crud that came off what i thought was a clean car was amazing. the extra gloss came off much easier than i expected. well worth the effort thanks to the tips on this forum it was time well spent and something i wouldnt have tried without the forum

I was really impressed as well. Used a megs quick clay kit and last ages too - clayed over a month and a bit ago, couple of washes since, alright still not mega smooth, but nowhere near as bad as before.

I'll let you know in a couple of years once my car gets old.  But I'll take your word for it.
