Climate Control Heating Problem

I have had a new Golf Mk 6 SE 1.4 TSI since last June.  I think the heater takes far too long to supply warm air particularly to the drivers foot well.  Generally about 10 to 15 minutes during the winter months.
Has anyone else experienced this problem or is it just the way with this car?  I've never had a VW before.  My last car, a Citreon C3 Exclusive, climate control system was far quicker in delivering nice warm air after a few minutes.
It has been checked at my local VW Dealer, but they say there is nothing wrong that they can see.   I still have doubts ?

Does your temperature gauge get up to 90 degrees fairly quickly?

I know the air distribution with golf heating systems isn't great - if you want hot air at your feet you have to manually close the other vents to get a good blast down there

Also the Air con is not the best ether?? Could be better imo!!

I've also noticed that when I try and clear my screen it takes FOR EVER ! (I have the AC aon swell to de hum it)

I noticed in my Golf 5 that it took ages to heat up.  I was normally about 2 minutes from work by the time the heaters were up to temperature.  I suppose thats the downside of never getting above 30mph in traffic for 15 mins though!

My MK6 seems like its going to be the same - although I haven't had a really cold day yet in my 5 days of ownership.
The heated seats with leather take an eternity to heat up too.  They really need a 4 and 5 setting.  I wonder if there is a way of boosting them using the VagCom?!

He probably did but I was sooooo excited I must have been very premature in my understanding of Wolgang's functionalities!
I am a 'dickstick' dipstick as I have yet to find that one. I love checking my fluid levels on a regular basis!
