Not sure if this has been asked before, tried searching for posts but didn't come up with much.
Anyway, I have a 16v GTI MK3 and the gear change on it is, to be blunt, crap!! The gear throw is massive and its sometimes stiff to get into first (think this might have something to do with the push for reverse)
So my question is what can be done to improve the gear change? a quick shift? new gear linkage? weighted gear linkage? all of the above?
I have seen a couple of different things aimed at helping this but not sure what is good or worth buying. I have seen B&M short shift kits for ?120 but don't if this is worth.
Any info on this would be great.
