hmmm, polish???

So, I need a good polish for my Dragon Green MK3. I've run out and want to try something new, what does everyone recommend?

I have
Dodo Juice Blue Velvet
Dodo Juice Purple Haze
Megs NXT 2.0

So I'm sorted for waxes, but want a good polish, not expensive either, dosh is a bit tight at the moment. Any ideas?

polish isn't necessarily colour dependent as you are polishing clearcoat (hopefully)

If your car doesnt need cut though, what about using a glaze and just buff the hell out of it ?

You will have to excuse my ignorance, but isn't Limeprime pre wax cleaner a bit abrasive?  :embarassed: I didn't think that it was a polish? :huh:

I'm just not getting a really deep/wet finish to the paintwork, but don't know where I'm going wrong?  Its all done by hand NOT DA Buffer, but surely I can still get the finish I'm after by hand? Or is it something I'm doing wrong? :sad:

1 WASH CAR WITH MEGS SHAMPOO
2 CLAY CAR (WHEN REQUIRED)
3 WASH CAR AGAIN WITH MEGS SHAMPOO
4 POLISH
5 WAX

Im using micro fibre cloths for the polishing/waxing and a mit for the washing :rolleyes:

Have you ever had your paintwork machine polished ?

A full paint correction before applying glazes and waxes will work wonders on your green (as deep wet looks come from good prep)

Take a look the photo below which is a 50/50 machine polished/unpolished rear quarter of a 6 year old Polo which shows the diffrence.

yep it does mate due to the work involved to get that finish, alot of peeps think its a five min job but to get that result its a combination of good experience with a rotory, right pad and polish choice, uber amounts of graft.

when i give people quotes there gob hits the floor but then lifts when i explain what goes into it and the time spent doing it, so its well worth the money in my opinion.

limeprime is a polish with micro abrassives and limeprime lite has none and is a pre-wax cleanser/glaze
