How to show MPG
« on: 17 April 2010, 22:51 »
I have a 1.6 FSI and I think its the base model (I cant have a GTI yet, im only 18)

The dash dosent show the MPG, should it? Is it a case of taking it to the dealer and enabeling it with VAG COM ?

Thanks

Sounds like you have lowline. You'll need the midline clocks with the rocker switch (standard on the GTI).

..........just out of interest (if you don't mind me asking) but how much is the insurance?.My son is 17 & wants a GTI but i would have thought he would need a lottery win to be able to afford the insurance on one ?.

2.2k a yeah i ad someone run up my arse when i had a corsa and used the insurance money to buy and insure the golf. im with ecar insurance and they were really good then i had the crash would reccomend them highly. not sure what the price is if you take out the policy with a gti from the start. i just changed the car on  the policy after 3months (when i had the crash).
